For many a year the feud unfading has refused gentle pastures as no pact of peace can be forged with the fiendish poofter-latte drinkers of the Sound. As always, great noise and haughty fanfare will roll down the Interstate in search of the Grail. The boastful claims of prowess and skill will abound, rarely to be fulfilled. And the fey, caramel-machiatto sipping heathens of the North once again shall only be left with impotent rage as consolation their pains. Many sorrowful songs of lament will be sung by the denizens of the bespired Emerald City, upon the passing of this season, as their collective arses be handed back to them gift-wrapped.

Grail Della Grunge Cup Scoring

A traditional (well, almost) XC Run scoring system will be used to score each cities team as follows:

• Points will be assigned based on an individual's finishing place: (e.g. 1st place = 1 pt, 2nd place = 2 pts, 3rd place = 3 pts, etc.)
• Only EACH CITIES' top 5 male riders (and 3 for the women) will score. If one of the Cities' teams fails to finish at least 4 (or 2 for the women) racers, they are considered "incomplete" and WILL NOT be included in scoring for that race.
• The sum total of the top 5 men and top 3 women racers' points will constitute the Cities' team score for that race, with the low score winning that race.
• The City with the most wins in the four predetermined Grunge Cup races, will win the coveted Grail Della Grunge Cup. The Series trophy is the GRAIL DELLA GRUNGE CUP which, with bragging rights will remain in public display under the guardianship of the promoter of the winning City until the end of the following season or until otherwise recaptured.
