I am figger'n it
C.J. is giving more clues
Still have not found grail
  • "I'm lost" -- This must refer to Matt Fox, a Sunnyside A racer / doppelganger of LOST star, right?  Given the "sunnyside" connection, I have been looking all over the south side of everything for 4 hours and 20 minutes and it is now too hazy to see anything!
  • "LOL"  -- Either a good place to loll (grassy knoll?) or a wedding venue (the grail cluesters are traditionally a little clueless and would likely think that LOL is "Lots of Love").  I haven't looked there -- after the last wedding crash there, I stay away from that place.

Any chance we can get a confirmation that the relic is still there and hasn't been removed or tampered with? And that it is within 50 meters of the Monument?

Grail Hunters!

Ye have performed well in deciphering the first 3 clues, but now the hunt will
become more difficult.

The grail piece is within 50 meters, (that's 164.04 feet) from the point
identified in the riddle. But it will take eagle eyes to see, though it is so very
obvious.

Confirmation on existance of the piece will be made later today.

One of the Crusaders was brave enough to venture out and confirm that the
piece is still in place. Let the searching begin anew!

Good news...bad news...

The relic near the molder HAS been found and is in safe hands.  Unfortunately those would not be my hands.

Let's have the next riddle!

...and BTW the hiding spot did require eagle eyes and could hardly be described as   'so very obvious'.

Well, tell the person who found it to enter the code and information at
http://grail.crosscrusade.com/.

If no code is entered, it is not officially found.

For the record, the next riddle isn't ready yet anyway.

Oh, if you found the piece, and you're having technical difficulties with the
form or code email me. crosscrusade@cheryljwillson.com

Spelling counts.

After hours of searching through blackberry bushes and looking around trees I decided that it's easier to find geocache items than cross pieces.  Every year I run across a geocache item, but not always a cross piece.  However, this year a piece is mine and the code has successfully been entered.  Happy hunting on the next riddle!

Has the latest relic been found and code entered?

The riddle is no longer posted so I am guessing that I should not have wasted my time racing in Astoria and instead wasted it scouring the streets of Portland.

Yup, someone entered it! No one has hidden the next one as they're all in
Astoria!

So would the lucky person who found the last relic care to share any info on the location?

I spent some time last week around the Chinatown gate and Chinese Garden searching...just wondering how close I was and what I overlooked...and if I was even in the right spot.

A Frustrated Searcher

Well Pete I think we'd all like to know where they have all been. I've
spent at least seven hours so far on the previous locations. I know I
was in the correct spot three times. Twice I was just barely too late
and the code was entered while I was looking, and the last one on
Tabor was so hard to see I gave up after two hours.
So yes, could y'all share some details?

Relic was at 4th and Davis.  I went to the Chinese Garden too.  I think the people there thought I was crazy as I stared into the bushes for an hour.  Then I figured out what the correct monument was and I looked in every tree, bush, garbage can in a three block radius of it.  There is some dangerous stuff hiding in there.  The best part was when I was asked if I was alright by someone with one shoe on. Good luck with the next one.

Congratulations Gomez and thanks for sharing.

I was too focused on the Chinese Garden and the Gates themselves...should have explored Chinatown more for other 'gardens'.  Gotta hand it to those Old Town street folks...I had offers of help to find what I was looking for as well.

I thought I found it once in one of the street planters.  I found a folded blanket under the bushes and when I fished it out I was more than a little disappointed to discover that it was in fact just someone's festery old blanket from years past.

BTW...Mt Tabor relic was in a tree beyond the road in the direction of Harvey Scott's gaze.  I helped to fish it out of the tree but was not the finder...so close.

Bring on the next clue!

Probably looked right at it.

Those old town stories are great.

Intrepid Hunters!

Ah, the suffering that goes with searching! You must never give up... the
strong are those who never leave the race before it is finished!

Did you all miss the Lion of Flanders flag on the lamp post outside of the
Magic Garden? So obvious, yet so overlooked... it backeted the monument as
between the Lion's Gate and the was indeed the Garden of Forbidden Fruit...

The next "monument" is on every tourists itinerary.
