Hi all,

Grail Hunt rules and details are
here.

Rather than putting the current riddles in the forums, you can find them at
http://grail.crosscrusade.com/

Good luck hunting!

Cheryl

I'm still not sure how you win.  Is it the person with the most codes found or the person who finds the last code?  Is there a drawing...?

Also we just spent an hour looking for the second clue cross after finding the statue or monument from the clue.  not an easy thing to find...just saying...

  1. ...locate the monument or statue. Within 50 meters of the monument/statue, you must discover a Cross with a code word engraved upon it.
  2. Report the code word to the Cross Crusade by entering a post on the Grail Hunt Forum in Forums section of Crosscrusade.com. Report the statue, the location of the cross, and the code word.
Seems pretty simple to me. First one to report the code back to crosscrusade.com is the winner for that clue. No? Then at the end of the season at the awards ceremony all the clue finders will be entered in the drawing for the Euro trip. With other random prizes going to the remaining clue finders.

My questions: 1. Are the "relics" anchored and meant to be left there while participants only collect the code? Or do they remove the object also?  2. Will already found code locations be revealed on the forum for those who spent many hours looking? (Your not the first BikeJunkie)

I can't answer all the questions but here's some information while
everyone else is racing/working the race.

The "relics" aren't anchored and you should be able to identify them as
relics. For example, a fire hydrant with the word "hose". Not a relic, not a
code.

The person who finds the relic takes it and the code home with them.
They enter the code at http://grail.crosscrusade.com and the next riddle
will be revealed and everyone can start searching elsewhere!

And, yes, the first object was found and the second riddle is now up. I had
to make an adjustment for it to work for longjj.

If you do find a relic and you seem to be having a problem with the
form/code (you shouldn't!), you can email me at
crosscrusade@cheryljwillson.com.

I should not publicly admit how many hours a friend and I have looked for the second relic Saturday and today. I have gotten so many odd looks and touched so many gross things hidden in trees and bushes. What is that shiny object amongst those leaves?! Oh, it's just a nasty hair scrunchie from 1995. Could it be hidden in that casual looking paper bag?! No, it's filled with stale food and I look like a meth addict.

At what point do we get an extra clue and/or does someone in-the-know confirm the relic is still there?

LOL. It hasn't been that long!

This is not an official reply. I'll let DonQ or someone else pipe up.

Longjj2002,
Does this mean you are looking for the second relic?

Is it possible for a person to find/claim more than one? I didn't see anything about that in the rules.

What happens if someone finds the relic, but doesn't enter the code? Is there a way for an official to let us know it is still out there after a certain period of time?

Hey,

These posts make us realize that the rules are not complete. I will post in
more detail later but, Jon, one of the missing rules is that you can only find
one piece!

Share the wealth!

I will post later and update the rules online to make them more complete.

1. One grail piece per person
2. Grail person are not transferrable
3. Grail pieces must be taken (and kept) by finder
4. Grail piece finders must race at least one Crusade race

So wait, does Longjj's post mean the first relic has been found? There isn't a new riddle showing up on the Grail site, but Longjj claims to have found it.

Good luck finding the next one! The riddle isn't even up yet. It should be
soon. We just want to be sure there's something to find before we post the
riddle.

I will post here when the riddle is ready. You can watch this topic for replies
by clicking the link in the lower left.
