2008 CROSS CRUSADE GRAIL HUNT Win a round trip voyage to the 2009 World Championships Hoogerheide, The Netherlands Search the City for Evidence to Prove Portland's Weirdest Myths, Legends and Lore Is DB Cooper on the run with the Cross Crusade Grail? Is Sasquatch hanging out in Forest Park? Has Tanyia abandoned mud wresting for cross racing? Does a slough serpent live in the Ross Island lagoon? Did aliens abduct Brian Witty and turn him into a Sprockets dancer? Are crop circles the work of Kermessairs Schamp and Mitchem? How to Play Follow the route as described on the map. At key points, the route is marked by the orange "X" of the Crusade. Within 100 meters of each "X" may be found THE GRAIL or EVIDENCE to prove the truth of one of the local myths, legends, or lore. Search for and discover the GRAIL or EVIDENCE in parks or on public property. All EVIDENTIAL OBJECTS AND THE GRAIL are in plain view but may be difficult to find or retrieve. Bring a camera to record your discovery. Rules You must race at least one Crusade race, retrieve only one evidential object and bring it to the Cross Crusade Awards Party. You will win one prize from a list including Season '09 passes, shwag, and gags. Find the Grail to win a round trip voyage to Hoogerheide, for the 09 World Championships. In the event the Grail is not discovered, the trip will be raffled off between the evidence finders. Contest begins October 20th and ends December 7th at the Awards Celebration. The course may be ridden at any time, in any direction, and in segments as frequently as desired. New evidence will be distributed on the course over the duration of the contest.
